Kafé Levi in Sola
It is not that often that I write about places in Sola – maybe because most of the places in Sola are just fastfood joints. But in the end of last year, Kafé Levi opened in Galleriet Sola and I think this has been what Sola people have been waiting for. When I walk past there it always seems like there are lots of people in there. We tested this for lunch on a Saturday and the menu is fairly standard with some salads, sandwiches, soup of the day and some sweet stuff. I decided to have the Club Sandwich and Nikki had the baked vegetables sandwich.
The sandwiches were made to order, and it didn’t take long before they were served. My Club sandwich was served with a small and a bit uninspired salad on the side, but the sandwich was good with chicken, bacon and tomatoes. The onion salsa was a nice twist to get some more flavor to it. I would have preferred to have the bread a bit more toasted as it was quite moist. Nikki’s baked vegetables sandwich had big chunks of vegetables that were backed and still warm and the only complaint was that it was a bit oily.
All in all, a cozy place for a lunch or some snack with friends. It is open until 10 PM Wednesday to Friday and they do also have beer and wine options that can be served together with tapas.
I hope that the citizens of Sola will use Kafe Levi. Downtown Sola is not known for being very lively but maybe Kafe Levi can help bring people to the city center.
